She’s waking up with the daytime She’s the prettiest part of the skyline She says it all with a wink and smile She radiates more than she can realize She surprises me with sunshine She speaks her truth in her perfect rhyme She’s writing me into the storyline Surprising me with sunshine Maybe this is all brand new Maybe we’re on to something Or maybe its apropos to nothing She says it all with a wink and smile She radiates more than she can realize She surprises me with sunshine Maybe this is all brand new Maybe we’re on to something Or maybe this is what we’ve always wanted Maybe this is all brand new Maybe we’re on to something Or maybe its apropos to nothing She’s waking up with the daytime She’s the prettiest part of the skyline She surprises me with sunshine

Crazy Ones 02:52
Like the rebels who will always take the dare Shaping our destiny, on a whim and a prayer We are the crazy ones feeding the fire that burns Painting the world with colors no one else has learned Like the misfits dancing free without a care Spinning wildly to the song no one can hear We are the crazy ones feeding the fire that burns Painting the world with colors no one else has learned We’re burning bridges to light the road we own Joining the revolution as a new world unfolds We are the crazy ones feeding the fire that burns Painting the world with colors no one else has learned

Orbits 03:23
She writes her poetry every day with her morning coffee Alone in the cafe at a table made for two He’s writing his songs in the cafe with his morning bagel He doesn’t notice her but catches her perfume And he finds he is writing her into his melody Her gravity is pulling him into her orbit He’s spinning, turning, falling into her life He sets up everyday on the sidewalk around the corner Alone with his guitar by the subway where she rides She comes up the subway steps just as he starts playing She doesn’t notice him but hears a melody she likes And she’s humming his song on her way home His gravity is pulling her into his orbit She’s spinning, turning, falling into his life A butterfly flits its wings And a wisp of air creates a breeze And alters the coming tide And it sets their orbits to collide Her gravity is pulling him into her orbit He’s spinning, turning, falling into her life His gravity is pulling her into his orbit She’s spinning, turning, falling into his life The universe is pulling them into their orbit Heavenly bodies on a course to collide

Keep the wind at your back Keep the sunshine on your face And I will hold you in a warm embrace May the Road Rise Up to Meet You x4 Tears fall soft like rain As we walk holding hands Knowing we may not be here again May the Road Rise Up to Meet You x2 We are all just walking each other home May the Road Rise Up to Meet You x4

about

This is a very different sort of EP. It is an EP of remixes of three previously released songs along with one new song. These arrangements are different than what you are used to hearing from me as they feature more techno elements. A nice diversion and exercise in creativity. And released five years to the day of my first solo EP release, I Used to Be Cool.

about

David Woodard Nashville, Tennessee

David Woodard returns with GET IT GOOD, a full-length effort full of his trademark sugar-sweet melodies and harmonies. There is much more here than throwbacks to the Liverpool’s favorite sons. David influences are often on his sleeve as overtones of Fountains of Wayne, Cheap Trick, Big Star, The Rolling Stones, and even boygenius trickle from your speakers like familiar friends. ... more
